Hello! I grew up in eastern North Carolina and moved to Davidson to attend college. During high school I discovered my passion for mathematics and learning in general. This passion has been nourished during college and through tutoring opportunities. Tutoring gives me a wonderful way to share my passion for mathematics and learning, while at the same time helping someone else. I specialize in mathematics up to high school calculus, with a particular interest helping students understand the reasons why the math works the way it does. Outside of math, I enjoy video games and camping.
I am from Landenberg, Pennsylvania and am a physics major in the Davidson College class of 2018. For the past three summers, I have worked as a counselor, sailing instructor and medical assistant at Sandy Hill Camp in North East, Maryland. While in high school, I volunteered as a tutor at a local middle school for two years and as a mentor for one. I am a water sports enthusiast; I rowed for three years in high school and am on the club sailing team at Davidson. I tutor math, physics, chemistry, and specialize in SAT and ACT test preparation, as well as the math and physics SAT subject tests.
